Nicki Minaj joined President Donald Trump aboard Air Force One on October 25, traveling to Michigan for a Republican campaign rally ahead of the midterm elections.
During the flight, White House Communications Director Steven Cheung shared a video on social media showing the rapper answering questions about Trump’s leadership, economic policies, and work ethic. Cheung jokingly suggested that Minaj could become the next White House press secretary.
The exchange came shortly after Katie Zacharia departed the position following a brief tenure.
Minaj responded to Cheung’s post with an American flag and a smiling emoji, while the official White House account also reacted to the video. No formal job offer or appointment has been announced.
The rapper later joined Trump at a campaign rally in Port Huron, Michigan, continuing her public support for the president.
Minaj has become increasingly involved in political events, including previous White House appearances and public statements supporting Trump’s administration.
Her latest appearance brings together her music career and growing political visibility, although the press secretary’s suggestion remains a lighthearted social media exchange rather than an official announcement.
